African Acid
Is The Future

Maryisonacid & Dauwd & Oscar Atanga

Right at the heart of where it started as an intimate Kiez party in Neukölln ten years ago, we’re welcoming African Acid Is The Future (AAITF) at Pastiche this Sunday for a “listening night” with the three great residents of the label and party series; Maryisonacid, Dauwd, and Oscar Atanga.

We are excited for the exploratory journey through multi-cultural realms, from ancient traditional musics to Afro-futurist visitations, by the Berlin-based dynamic platform that has built an increasingly international following, traversing the worlds of electronic, psychedelic and spiritual groove.

AAITF stands as a testament to the future of music—a future where African music is not a relic of the past, but a formidable force that steadily shapes the soundscape of tomorrow.

Expect a very special evening where we’ll get to listen the multi-genre treasures from the land of original rhythm in a very special concept.

MARYISONACID
Maryama Luccioni, known as Maryisonacid, is a French-Congolese DJ, and the founder of AAITF. With a distinctive approach to DJing, Maryisonacid seamlessly blends diasporic African sounds with groovy electronic tracks and techno, a style deeply influenced by her upbringing in Paris's Barbès district and her involvement in Berlin's eclectic and diverse music scene.

“Lively, organic, and joyful” will be a familiar reference for her eclectic style, blending records across disparate eras and continents.

Maryisonacid's passion for music transforms each listening experience into a unique and cinematic journey. Some of her remarkable past performances include Berghain’s Panorama Bar, Contact Tokyo, and Printworks London, as well as her current residency at Tresor Berlin. No matter where in the world, Maryisonacid delivers skillful storytelling through her sets, with the energy and ease of an experienced selector who knows how to provide the perfect soundtrack to the situation at hand.

DAUWD
A constant presence in electronic music over the past decade, Dauwd’s creative journey has unfolded with refreshing unconventionality. Born in the US to an Iraqi father and English mother, and raised in rural North Wales, he grew up far removed from the club spaces he would eventually frequent. This unique background informs Dauwd’s perspective as both a versatile DJ and a continually evolving producer, blending influences that span cultures, genres, and eras.

A firm fixture in Berlin’s alternative scene, Dauwd is a core member of the influential collective AAITF, whose dynamic and distinctive style has a strong influence on both his DJ sets and productions. Dauwd’s sound is best experienced through his propulsive yet intricate sets, which reflect a lifetime of natural dance education. His approach is marked by an earned curiosity and a sense of discovery that continues to evolve with each performance.

OSCAR ATANGA
Oscar Ngu Atanga is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher exploring the intersections of sound, textile, memory, and movement. Through compositions, installations, field recordings, and storytelling, he creates layered works that resonate across cultural and physical spaces. Rooted in Afro-diasporic rhythms and grounded in lived experience, Atanga’s practice bridges eras, styles, and modes - from ambient compositions and textile collaborations to sonic research and site-specific installations.

Initially recognized for his genre-blurring sonics in Europe’s electronic music scene, Atanga’s practice now extends beyond club culture into textile design, archival work, and immersive listening sessions. His recent work explores African storytelling through sound, film and fabric, tracing ancestral threads while imagining new futures. From Berlin to Dakar, London to Cotonou, Atanga’s work remains a continuous dialogue - one that reimagines traditions, reclaims overlooked narratives, and connects disparate worlds through texture, sound, and space.
